Centrifuge Dewatering
Our dewatering and waste reduction treatments provide a cost effective and environmentally friendly method of reducing the quantity of waste that that must be disposed of. This is done by a centrifuge, and its job is to separate the solids from the sludge and process it into a dry filter cake. The filtrate can then either be re-used on-site, for example to land, or disposed of to drain. This will significantly reduce the amount of waste to be disposed of and reduce disposal costs. Typically, our machines can process between 10m3 and 150m3 per hour.
Our mobile centrifuges are available either for short term or long term hire. Used for short term contracts our mobile presses will arrive manned, with power as a completely self contained unit. In addition, JC Environmental Solutions provides engineering expertise on the design, build and operation of various sludge treatment facilities, including the provision of sludge screening equipment, strain presses, pumps, mixers, silos...
Why use a centrifuge?
An example: A customer has 100 ton of liquid waste to dispose of, off site, of which only 10% may be solid material with the remaining 90% filtrate. With the use of mobile dewatering equipment 90ton of filtrate can be recycled back to plant, rather than transporting 100 tons of liquid off site. Currently most liquid waste is disposed of in liquid form by mobile tankers for disposal either to a treatment center or suitable landfill site.
What happens?
Initially one of our dewatering experts will visit your site and carry out a site survey where a sample of the liquid waste will be taken and tested to ensure the waste can be filtered. It will also be used to determine the quality of the filtrate and dryness of solid filter cake.
This process can be carried out in our laboratory or at your premises using our test filter press. Once this has been completed calculations can be made and a full proposal submitted to the client.
